In der guten alten Zeit lebten die Menschen noch ruhig und in Frieden. Included below is a link to a video of the intro, just in case you haven't seen it.Īnd here is the original German text along with my translation. So I decided to take it upon myself to do my own perfect translation of the Rondo of Blood intro voiceover, in hopes that people might see it and know the true English translation of this epic text. To be blunt, literally all of these translations contain errors. This has led many fans to attempt to translate the intro into English. Getting back to the point, Konami thought it would be cool to have the voiceover be done in German, and since the game was released only in Japan, the subtitles which appear at the bottom of the screen during the intro are all in Japanese. This thread deals strictly with the intro voiceover that accompanies the opening cinematic in the original Rondo of Blood. That version has a different intro voiceover which in my opinion isn't as cool as the original. And before anyone asks or comments about this, no this is not about the PSP remake of Rondo of Blood contained in Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles which was released in 2007. I'm not going to go too in depth on that since it isn't the main focus of this thread, but let's just say that Rondo of Blood is without a doubt among the top 3 best Castlevania games ever made. Anyone who has ever played Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo(Dracula X: Rondo of Blood), which came out for the PC Engine Super CD-ROM System in 1993, knows how incredible this game is.
